Kim Douglas
Dip. Pod. M - M.Ch.S - HPC Registered

"I qualified from Durham School of Podiatric Medicine in 1979 and after 30 years of practice I still find the lower limb and general foot problems interesting and challenging.

Following qualification I worked for 4 years full time in the N.H.S followed by the part time posts as a senior within the hospital, practical skills teacher and Marks & Spencer's podiatrist in Newcastle whilst establishing the practise from 1982 with Mrs V Smart.

I am fascinated by all aspects of my job but have a special interest in the treatment of verruca by cyotherapy (using liquid nitrogen), nail surgery (to resolve persistent nail problems) and basic bio mechanics to conservativally address posture and gait.

My working week consists of Monday, Wednesday & Friday home visits, Tuesday (late night) and Thursday in the practise and alternate Saturday morning clinics (every 2nd and 4th Saturday)."
